Sweet-Sour Turkey Breast
Ingredients
- 12 lb turkey breast cubed
- soy sauce
- 12 tsp ginger
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
- 12 tsp msg Accent if desired
- 2 to 3 carrots sliced
- 1 can pineapple chunks and juice
- 1 green pepper
- 1 or 2 bouillon cubes
- 12 c brown sugar
- 12 c vinegar
- 2 Tbsp cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp powdered ginger or 1-inch ginger root sliced
Directions
- Put turkey breast into small bowl
- Add soy sauce to moisten ginger cornstarch and msg
- Marinate about 12 hour
- Brown turkey in a little oil
- Remove from pan
- Spoon off excess oil Into pan add brown sugar vinegar 2 tablespoons soy sauce juice from pineapple and ginger root
- Bring to boil
- Turn down heat and simmer a minute or so
- Add cornstarch which has been dissolved in a little cold water
- Add sliced green pepper carrots and browned meat
- Cook a couple of minutes
- Add pineapple chunks and heat through
- Garnish with chopped green onions
- Serve over rice
