Sweet And Sour Beets

Ingredients

• 14 c sugar
• 1 tsp cornstarch
• 2 Tbsp vinegar
• 2 Tbsp water
• 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
• 1 16 oz can sliced beets drained
• 18 tsp salt
• dash of pepper

Directions

1. Combine sugar and cornstarch in saucepan stir well Gradually add water stirring until smooth
2. Stir in vinegar and oil cook over medium heat stirring constantly until thickened Add beets salt and pepper and cook until thoroughly heated about 10 minutes
