Sweet Carrots

Ingredients

  • 4 large carrots
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 3 Tbsp brown sugar

Directions

  1. Scrape carrots with vegetable parer
  2. Cut into penny slices Place carrots in saucepan cover with cold water
  3. Add salt Cover saucepan and cook over medium-high heat until water starts to boil
  4. Turn heat down to low cook 15 minutes longer
  5. When carrots are tender pour contents of saucepan into colander in sink
  6. Shake to drain water
  7. Put carrots back in saucepan
  8. Stir butter and brown sugar cook over low heat for 2 minutes stirring a few times
  9. Carrots should be shiny and glazed
