Sweet Pickle Chips

Ingredients

  • 1 gal whole dill pickles any brand
  • 4 c sugar
  • 8 Tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 tsp alum powder

Directions

  1. Drain and rinse pickles Slice pickles 14 to 12-inch thick Stir into sugar mixture Do not use metal container or spoon Let stand 24 hours at room temperature stir occasionally Put into jars and pour juice evenly into each jar Store in refrigerator one to two weeks
