Sweet Potato Biscuits
Ingredients
- 1 sweet potato or yam baked or microwaved
- 2 Tbsp shortening
- 1 c flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 12 tsp salt
- 3 Tbsp milk
- 3 Tbsp sugar
Directions
- Peel and dice baked sweet potato
- Combine flour baking powder and salt
- Cut shortening and potato into flour mixture Add milk and sugar stir until well mixed
- Roll out on floured surface 12 to 34 inch thick
- With knife cut into squares and bake on greased baking sheet at 400 for 12 minutes
- Makes 12 to 18 biscuits
