Sweet Sour Green Beans
Ingredients
- 1 lb diced beans
- boiling salt water
- 4 slices bacon
- 12 c chopped onion
- 2 tsp flour
- 12 c water
- 13 c cider vinegar
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- salt and pepper
Directions
- Cook beans until crisp and tender 6 to 8 minutes Drain Plunge into ice water drain
- Set aside Fry bacon until crisp drain and crumble
- Keep 2 tablespoons bacon drippings
- Stir in flour Cook until bubbly
- Stir in water vinegar and sugar Heat to boiling and slightly thickened
- Add beans and toss occasionally Sprinkle with salt pepper and bacon
