Ingredients

  • 1 12 lb round steak about 1 inch thick
  • 14 c flour
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion sliced
  • 1 large rib celery sliced
  • 14 lb generous mushrooms
  • 1 clove garlic finely chopped
  • 1 8 oz can stewed tomatoes
  • 14 tsp dried crushed basil
  • 14 tsp dried crushed oregano
  • 14 tsp dried crushed thyme

Directions

  1. Trim excess fat from steak
  2. Pound flour into the meat Sprinkle with salt and pepper
  3. In a large skillet heat oil
  4. Add steak and brown meat on both sides over medium heat
  5. Place steak in baking dish about 12 x 8 x 2-inch
