Swiss Steak

Ingredients
- 14 c flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 14 tsp pepper
- 2 lb round steak 1 12-inches thick
- 4 tsp oil
- 1 peeled medium onion sliced in rings
- 1 12 oz can vegetable juice cocktail
Directions
- Dredge meat in flour salt and pepper Saute meat in hot oil until golden brown on both sides
- Add onions and juice
- Cover and simmer about 2 hours or until tender or bake in moderate oven at 350 for about 2 hours
- Thicken gravy as desired
