Tea Cakes

Ingredients

  • 1 c sugar
  • 12 c shortening
  • 2 eggs
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 12 tsp soda
  • 12 c sweet milk
  • flour about 3 c
  • 1 heaping tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla or flavor of choice

Directions

  1. Combine shortening and sugar
  2. Add well beaten eggs and milk beat well
  3. Mix dry ingredients add gradually
  4. Chilled dough rolls better
  5. Roll thin cut in desired shapes
  6. Use flour to make rolled dough Bake on 375 about 8 minutes
  7. Tea cakes that never grow stale
