Tea Tarts
Ingredients
- 1 pkg yeast
- 14 c warm water
- 3 c flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 c shortening
- 2 eggs beaten
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 c quick oats
- 1 c thick sour cream
- jam dark berry works best
- lots fresh air
Directions
- Soak yeast in water until dissolved
- Mix dry ingredients and shortening as for pie crust
- Combine everything as for pie crust Combine everything just until blended and chill for several hours or overnight
- Roll on sugared board 18 to 14-inch thick
- Cut in squares
- Put spoon of jam on center of square and fold three cornered
- Press edges together
- Place on pans and let raise 30 minutes
- Bake at 350 for 20 to 25 minutes
