Tex-Mex Chops

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops about 34-inch thick
  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • 1 c salsa chunky style purchased
  • 1 4 oz can diced green chiles undrained
  • 14 c grated Cheddar cheese

Directions

  1. In large skillet over medium-high heat brown chops in oil on one side about 2 minutes turn chops and add salsa and chiles to skillet
  2. Lower heat cover and simmer gently for 8 to 10 minutes Uncover top each chop with one tablespoon of cheese
  3. Cover and simmer just until cheese melts
  4. Serves four
