Tex-Mex Soup

Ingredients

  • 12 lb ground beef can use turkey or chicken
  • 1 c chopped onion
  • 1 16 oz can tomatoes stewed tomatoes work well
  • 1 16 oz can pinto beans
  • 1 8 oz can tomato sauce
  • 1 c water
  • 23 c picante sauce or more to taste
  • 14 tsp cumin

Directions

  1. In a 3-quart saucepan brown onion and hamburger
  2. Add remaining ingredients
  3. Heat for 10 minutes
  4. Serve with crushed corn or tortilla chips cheese sour cream and shredded lettuce
