Tex-Mex Turkey Chili
Ingredients
- 1 c onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 Tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin seed
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 8 oz can tomatoes and green chilies undrained
- 1 15 oz can red kidney beans drained
- 2 c shredded cooked turkey breast
- 34 c water
Directions
- Combine onion garlic and oil in a 2-quart glass bowl
- Cover with plastic wrap
- Microwave on High for 3 minutes or until onion is tender stirring every minute
- Add chili powder and the next 4 ingredients stir well
- Microwave uncovered on High 6 to 9 minutes stirring every 3 minutes
- Add the remaining ingredients Microwave uncovered on High for 6 minutes until thoroughly heated
