Texas Barbecue Brisket6 Pound Brisket

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp liquid smoke
  • 1 tsp celery salt
  • 1 tsp onion salt
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 6 oz barbecue sauce
  • 1 brisket

Directions

  1. Sprinkle lean side of brisket with 12 teaspoon liquid smoke Rub in 12 teaspoon each of the salts
  2. Place lean side down in large pan
  3. Score fatty side
  4. Rub in rest of liquid smoke and salts
  5. Cover tightly
  6. Refrigerate overnight
  7. Before cooking sprinkle each side with Worcestershire sauce salt and pepper Place fatty side up in roasting pan
  8. Wrap in foil
  9. Bake at 225 for 1 12 hours for each pound 9 hours for 6 pounds
  10. Last hour of cooking uncover and pour over barbecue sauce
  11. Leave uncovered
