The Ultimate Chocolate Cake
Ingredients
- 2 c unsifted flour
- 23 c Hersheys cocoa
- 1 14 tsp baking soda
- 14 tsp baking powder
- 1 23 c sugar
- 4 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 c Hellmanns real mayonnaise
- 1 13 c water
Directions
- Grease and flour bottoms of 2 9-inch layer cake pans
- Mix first 4 ingredients set aside
- In large bowl with mixer at high speed beat next 3 ingredients for 3 minutes or until light and fluffy
- At low speed beat in real mayonnaise
- Add flour mixture in 4 additions alternately with water beginning and ending with flour
- Pour into pans
- Bake in a 350 oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean
- Cool in pans 10 minutes Remove cool on racks
- Frost
- Makes 2 9-inch layers
