Third Graders Favorite Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 34 c flour
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 12 tsp salt
• 12 c margarine
• 1 c sugar
• 1 egg
• 12 tsp lemon extract
• confectioners sugar

Directions

1. Cream shortening add sugar gradually and beat until light Add egg
2. Combine dry ingredients add to creamed mixture Refrigerate for approximately 15 minutes
3. Roll thin on board sprinkled with confectioners sugar or flour
4. Cut with your favorite cookie cutters
5. Place on greased cookie sheet
6. Decorate with colored sugar
7. Bake at 325 for 8 to 10 minutes
8. Yield about 3 dozen cookies
