Thumbprint Cookies
Ingredients
- 23 c butter
- 13 c sugar
- 2 egg yolks
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 12 c sifted flour
- 2 slightly beaten egg whites
- 34 c chopped walnuts
- maraschino cherries
Directions
- Cream butter and sugar until fluffy
- Add egg yolks vanilla and 12 teaspoon of salt beat well
- Gradually add flour mixing well
- Shape in 34-inch balls dip in egg whites and roll in nuts
