Toffee Bars
Ingredients
- 2 c brown sugar packed
- 2 c flour
- 12 c soft oleo
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 12 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 c milk
- 1 egg
- 1 c chocolate chips
- 12 c chopped nuts
Directions
- Blend brown sugar flour and oleo until mixture resembles coarse crumbs Remove 1 cup and set aside
- To remaining crumbs add baking powder salt vanilla milk and egg
- Mix until smooth Spread batter evenly in 9 x 13-inch buttered pan
- Sprinkle on chips and nuts
- Bake at 350 for 30 to 35 minutes
