Tomato Cake

Ingredients

• 4 Tbsp shortening
• 1 c sugar
• 1 c raisins
• 1 c chopped walnuts
• 2 eggs
• 2 c cake flour
• 1 tsp allspice
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1 can tomato soup
• 1 tsp baking soda

Directions

1. Cream shortening until creamy with sugar
2. Add eggs
3. Sift together spices and cake flour three times
4. Add baking soda to tomato soup
5. To part of the flour add the raisins and walnuts to the other part the baking powder
6. Add the flour flour with raisins nuts and soup
7. Blend in well
8. Pour into greased round cake pans
9. Bake in 350 oven for 20 to 25 minutes
10. Add topping of your choice
