Tomato Dumplings

Ingredients
- 12 c finely chopped onion
- 14 c finely chopped green pepper
- 14 c butter
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 can 28 oz tomatoes with liquid cut up
- 1 Tbsp brown sugar
- 12 tsp dried basil
- 12 tsp salt
- 14 tsp pepper
- 14 c celery
Directions
- In a medium skillet saute onions pepper and celery until tender
- Add remaining ingredients
- Simmer 5 to 10 minutes Make dumplings
- Add to bubbling mixture by tablespoons
- Cover tightly and simmer for 12 to 15 minutes
