Tomato Pickles

Ingredients

• 1 12 c sugar
• 3 c vinegar
• 12 c salt
• 2 tsp whole allspice
• 1 tsp whole cloves
• 4 qts green tomatoes sliced
• 6 tbsp mustard seed
• 1 12 qts sliced peeled onion

Directions

1. Combine first four ingredients in big pan Put next 2 ingredients in cheese cloth bag and add to first Bring to boil Put in onion and tomatoes Boil for 5 min uncovered or until tender
