Tomato Pie

Ingredients
- 1 pie shell
- 3 to 6 ripe peeled tomatoes medium or 3 large
- 12 tsp salt
- 14 tsp pepper
- 12 tsp basil
- 12 c chopped onion
- 12 c mayonnaise
- 2 c grated Cheddar or Swiss cheese
Directions
- Bake pie shell at 425 for 5 minutes
- Reduce heat to 400 Place tomatoes sliced thick into crust
- Add salt pepper basil and onion
- Mix mayonnaise and cheese
- Spread over top of pie Bake for 35 minutes or until browned
