Tortillas Flour
Ingredients
- 4 c unsifted flour
- 13 c shortening
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 c warm water
Directions
- Sift
- flour
- and salt together and work shortening into it with hands and fingertips then add water until dough forms into firm ball
- Knead well and form into small balls the size of golf balls
- Let
- stand for about 15 minutes and then roll into thin pancake
- size of 7 to 8 inches
- Cook on moderately hot griddle or skillet ungreased for 2 minutes on one side turn over
- and cook
- 1 minute on the other side
- Serve while hot
- These
- can be
- placed
- in foil and reheated in oven at 350
- for approximately 10 minutes Serve with butter spread on them or fill with cooked refried beans cheese etc
