Tossed Artichoke Salad
Ingredients
- 12 c salad oil
- 13 c vinegar
- 4 thin slices onion I didnt use these
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1 clove garlic crushed
- 14 tsp celery seed
- 1 9 oz pkg frozen artichoke hearts
- 1 4 oz can pimentos chopped I used 2 oz
- torn lettuce or salad greens
Directions
- In a saucepan combine oil vinegar 2 tablespoons of water onion sugar garlic 12 teaspoon salt celery seed and dash of pepper
- Bring to boiling
- Add artichoke hearts
- Cook until tender 3 to 5 minutes
- Cool
- Stir in pimento
- Chill
