Turtle Cookies
Ingredients
- 12 c packed brown sugar
- 12 c margarine or butter softened
- 2 Tbsp water
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 12 c flour
- 12 tsp salt
- pecan halves
- caramels
Directions
- Mix brown sugar margarine water and vanilla
- Stir in flour and salt until dough holds together if dough is dry stir in 1 to 2 teaspoons of water Cut caramels into fourths
- Shape dough by teaspoonfuls around caramel pieces
- Press dough into center of each pecan half
- Bake until done 12 to 15 minutes
- Cool
