Turtle Shells

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg Azteca salad shells
  • 1 12 oz pkg caramels
  • 12 c condensed milk
  • 1 c milk chocolate chips
  • 1 c pecan pieces

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Cut each shell into 8 pie-shaped wedges
  3. Bake on ungreased baking sheets for 7 to 9 minutes or until golden brown
  4. Remove shells and place on waxed paper
  5. Place caramels and milk in microwave-safe bowl
  6. Microwave on Medium power for 3 minutes
  7. Stir and repeat for 3 minutes stirring often
  8. Spread caramel onto cooled shells
  9. Top with pecans Microwave chocolate on Medium for 3 minutes stir and repeat for 2 minutes stirring often
  10. Drizzle chocolate over caramel and pecans
  11. Makes 32 candies
