Tuts Toffee

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks butter or margarine
  • 1 c brown sugar
  • 35 saltine crackers
  • 1 large pkg semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 12 c chopped nuts

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil Arrange crackers 7 across and 5 down
  3. Melt butter with brown sugar mix and pour over saltines
  4. Bake 15 to 20 minutes will bubble and harden when removed
  5. Sprinkle warm toffee with chocolate chips and spread with a spatula when melted
  6. Sprinkle with nuts
  7. Chill until firm
  8. Peel off foil and break into pieces
