Uncle HollieS Sponge Candy

Ingredients

• 1 c sugar
• 1 c dark corn syrup
• 1 Tbsp vinegar
• 1 Tbsp baking soda

Directions

1. Combine sugar syrup and vinegar in 2-quart bowl
2. Cover with plastic wrap and microwave on High 3 minutes
3. Stir well Microwave uncovered on High 4 to 10 minutes until thickened 300
4. Test by dropping in cold water
5. Remove the threads if they bend cook more
6. It is done if it is very brittle
7. Quickly stir in soda and mix well
