Under The Sea Salad
Ingredients
- 1 pkg lime gelatin
- 1 c boiling water
- 1 c pear juice
- 18 tsp salt
- 1 3 oz pkg cream cheese softened
- 1 1 lb can pear halves
Directions
- Drain pears and reserve syrup
- Dissolve gelatin in hot water and add 1 cup pear syrup and salt
- Pour thin layer of gelatin over bottom of 5-cup ring mold
- Chill until set
- Chill remaining gelatin until partially set
- Beat until foamy
- Add cheese and continue beating until smooth and stiff peaks form
- Fold pears into gelatin mixture
- Pour over gelatin layer
- Chill until set Unmold on serving plate
