Under The Sea Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg lime gelatin
  • 1 c boiling water
  • 1 c pear juice
  • 18 tsp salt
  • 1 3 oz pkg cream cheese softened
  • 1 1 lb can pear halves

Directions

  1. Drain pears and reserve syrup
  2. Dissolve gelatin in hot water and add 1 cup pear syrup and salt
  3. Pour thin layer of gelatin over bottom of 5-cup ring mold
  4. Chill until set
  5. Chill remaining gelatin until partially set
  6. Beat until foamy
  7. Add cheese and continue beating until smooth and stiff peaks form
  8. Fold pears into gelatin mixture
  9. Pour over gelatin layer
  10. Chill until set Unmold on serving plate
