Upside Down German Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg Duncan Hines moist deluxe Swiss chocolate cake mix
  • 1 12 c flaked coconut
  • 1 12 c chopped pecans
  • 1 8 oz pkg cream cheese softened
  • 12 c butter melted
  • 1 lb powdered sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Grease and flour 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan Spread coconut evenly in bottom of pan
  3. Sprinkle with pecans Prepare cake mix following package directions for original recipe Pour over coconut and pecans
  4. Combine cream cheese and melted butter beat until creamy
  5. Add sugar beat until smooth
  6. Drop by spoonfuls evenly over cake batter
  7. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted 12 to bottom comes out clean
  8. Cool completely
  9. To serve cut into pieces and turn upside-down on plates
