Vanilla Ice Cream 1923Over 50 Years Old

Ingredients

  • 4 c fresh milk
  • 1 12 c rich cream
  • 12 c granulated sugar
  • 14 c sugar extra
  • 3 Tbsp flour
  • 3 Tbsp milk
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 egg

Directions

  1. Scald the fresh milk in a double boiler
  2. Mix the 12 cup sugar flour and salt
  3. Sift
  4. Moisten with the 3 tablespoons cold milk
  5. Add 1 cup of the scalded milk and mix then add to remaining hot milk
  6. Cook 30 minutes
