VelmaS Bread Pudding

VelmaS Bread Pudding

Ingredients

  • 4 large eggs
  • 12 c plus 2 Tbsp sugar or to taste
  • 1 qt milk low-fat if desired
  • 4 slices white bread some of the crust removed and torn into small pieces
  • 2 Tbsp butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375
  2. Separate 2 of the eggs and put the whites in a dry clean bowl and set aside
  3. Put the egg yolks and remaining whole eggs in a large bowl
  4. Put the milk in a saucepan and add the bread and butter
  5. Heat the mixture until the milk is hot and the butter is melted stirring
