Velvet Pound Cake

Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. butter
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 5 eggs
- 3 c. flour (cake)
- 3 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. lemon
- 1 tsp. almond or flavor desired
Directions
- Mix butter and Crisco, cream with sugar and eggs.
- Mix 1/2 cup of milk and flour, then add other half cup of milk.
- Add flavors and baking powder.
- Beat.
- Bake 1 1/2 hours at 300°.
