Velvety Homemade Pumpkin Pie
Ingredients
- 1 12 c mashed pumpkin
- 34 tsp salt
- 12 c sugar
- 12 c brown sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 34 tsp ginger
- 2 eggs
- 1 c evaporated milk
- 1 unbaked pie shell 9-inch deep will do
Directions
- Cook 12 fresh pumpkin in oven
- Remove seeds to use later in a snack
- Cook until soft
- Scoop out and mash
- Mix sugar and seasonings with mashed pumpkin
- Add eggs one at a time
- Add evaporated milk
- Place pumpkin pie mixture into unbaked homemade pie shell
- Bake at 450 and cook for 10 minutes
- Lower heat to 350 and bake for about another 40 minutes or until a knife inserted comes out clean
