Vienna Bread
Ingredients
- 3 c lukewarm water
- 3 Tbsp sugar
- 2 pkg dry yeast
- 1 12 tsp salt
- 3 Tbsp olive or vegetable oil
- 9 to 10 c flour
Directions
- Combine lukewarm water sugar and yeast in bowl
- Let stand 15 minutes
- Add salt and oil mix
- Gradually add flour
- Mix well Knead until smooth on floured board
- Place in greased bowl and let rise until doubled
- Punch down and let rise again
- Cut into 3 pieces
- Let rise again 15 minutes
- Shape into long loaves and place on greased cookie sheets sprinkled with cornmeal
- Cover with towel and let rise in warm place until doubled
- Bake for 50 to 60 minutes at 350
