Ingredients

  • 11 egg whites
  • 9 egg yolks
  • 1 14 c sugar
  • 1 c cake flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • dash of salt
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar

Directions

  1. Beat egg yolks until lemon colored
  2. Add sugar beat well Add flour salt and vanilla
  3. Beat egg whites until frothy
  4. Add cream of tartar and beat until very stiff
  5. Add egg yolk mixture to whites folding carefully
  6. Pour into large ungreased angel food pan
  7. Bake 1 hour at 300
