Waldorf Salad
Ingredients
- 8 red Delicious apples cubed with skin on
- 1 large can pineapple chunks in heavy syrup drained save juice
- 1 c chopped walnuts
- orange juice
- 2 12 Tbsp cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 Tbsp butter
Directions
- Put pineapple juice in 2-cup measuring cup
- Fill up to top with orange juice
- Add 2 tablespoons sugar
- Mix a small amount of juice with 2 12 tablespoons cornstarch
- Bring the rest of the juice to a boil and slowly add cornstarch mix
- Cook until thick Remove from heat and add 1 tablespoon butter
- Cool then add to apples and nuts
