Walnut Pound Cake
Ingredients
- 3 14 c all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 12 tsp salt
- 12 lb 1 c butter or margarine softened
- 1 12 c firmly packed light brown sugar
- 4 eggs separated
- 1 c plain low-fat yogurt
- 12 c milk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 c chopped walnuts
- walnut halves
Directions
- Sift together flour baking soda and salt set aside
- In a large bowl cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy
- Add egg yolks one a a time beating well after each
- At low speed gradually beat in yogurt milk and vanilla
- Gradually add dry ingredients beating until fluffy
- Scrape bowl as needed
- Stir in chopped walnuts
