Welch Cookies

Ingredients

• 6 c flour
• 2 c sugar
• 3 c shortening
• 3 12 tsp baking powder
• 2 tsp nutmeg
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 c currants
• 3 eggs
• 23 c milk

Directions

1. Mix the first 6 ingredients like pie crust then add currants eggs and milk
2. Roll to 12-inch thick
3. Cut with cutter or water glass
4. Spray with Pam
5. Fry on griddle until golden in color Turn to do other side
6. Cool on rack
