Wet Chicken

Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken
- 3 c flour
- 1 c shortening
- salt and pepper
Directions
- Wash and cut chicken
- Lightly salt and pepper then place in flour
- Place shortening into frypan on medium heat
- Brown chicken and then place into a large pot with a lid
- After all chicken has been browned pour remaining drippings over chicken and cover chicken with water
- Bring to a boil and then simmer 1 hour Remove chicken
- It should have made its own gravy
- Pour over rice or potatoes
