Whipped Yellow Turnips

Ingredients
- 1 14 lb potatoes peeled and quartered
- fresh turnips peeled and diced into 12-inch pieces
- boiling salted water
- 3 Tbsp butter
- 12 tsp salt
- 14 tsp each pepper cinnamon and nutmeg
Directions
- Cook potatoes and turnips in boiling salt water to cover in 3-quart covered saucepan over medium heat about 20 minutes Drain
- Return to pan
- Shake pan over low heat a few seconds to dry
- Mash vegetables
- Add remaining ingredients
- Beat with fork until fluffy
