Whole Wheat Rolls

Ingredients

  • 2 to 2 12 c whole wheat flour
  • 1 pkg dry yeast
  • 1 c buttermilk
  • 13 c sugar
  • 12 c butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 c whole wheat flour

Directions

  1. Combine in a large bowl 1 12 cups flour and yeast
  2. Heat buttermilk butter sugar and salt until warm and butter is almost melted 120 to 130
  3. Add to flour mixture along with eggs Beat at medium speed for 3 minutes after blending with electric mixer
  4. Stir in remaining flour with mixing spoon and as much flour as needed to form soft dough
  5. Knead 6 to 8 minutes on floured surface
  6. Let rise until double
  7. Make into desired rolls Makes 1 12 dozen cloverleaf rolls
  8. Let dough again
  9. Bake for 15 minutes at 375
