Whole Wheat Rolls
Ingredients
- 2 to 2 12 c whole wheat flour
- 1 pkg dry yeast
- 1 c buttermilk
- 13 c sugar
- 12 c butter or margarine
- 1 tsp salt
- 3 eggs
- 2 c whole wheat flour
Directions
- Combine in a large bowl 1 12 cups flour and yeast
- Heat buttermilk butter sugar and salt until warm and butter is almost melted 120 to 130
- Add to flour mixture along with eggs Beat at medium speed for 3 minutes after blending with electric mixer
- Stir in remaining flour with mixing spoon and as much flour as needed to form soft dough
- Knead 6 to 8 minutes on floured surface
- Let rise until double
- Make into desired rolls Makes 1 12 dozen cloverleaf rolls
- Let dough again
- Bake for 15 minutes at 375
