Winter Fruit Bowl

Ingredients

  • 1 8 oz can pineapple chunks
  • 14 c packed brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Grand Marnier flavoring if desired
  • 2 apples
  • 2 oranges peeled
  • 2 c seedless green grapes
  • 1 banana

Directions

  1. Drain juice from pineapple into 1-cup glass measure
  2. Stir in brown sugar and lemon juice
  3. Microwave on High uncovered 1 to 1 12 minutes or until mixture boils Stir in flavoring Cool Quarter apples and cut into very thin slices
  4. Peel oranges Cut into thin slices
  5. Cut slices in half
  6. In glass serving bowl layer half the apples oranges and grapes Slice banana and arrange over grapes
  7. Top with pineapple chunks Repeat with remaining apples oranges and grapes
  8. Pour cooled syrup over all Cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight
  9. Makes about 12 servings 70 calories each
