Wonderful Pound Cake

Ingredients

• 1 c plus 2 Tbsp vegetable shortening
• 2 c sugar
• 6 eggs
• 2 c plain flour
• 1 tsp vanilla

Directions

1. Cream together shortening and sugar
2. Add eggs one at a time mixing well
3. Blend in flour and vanilla mix well
4. Pour into greased and floured tube pan
5. Place in cold oven
6. Turn oven to 325
7. Bake for 1 12 hours
8. Do not open oven door during baking time
9. If desired add 1 teaspoon lemon or butter flavoring instead of vanilla flavoring
