Yams And Cherries
Ingredients
- 1 No 2 12 can sweet potatoes
- 34 c brown sugar
- 12 tsp salt
- 2 Tbsp cornstarch
- 12 tsp cinnamon
- 12 tsp nutmeg
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 No 303 can cherry pie filling
Directions
- Slice sweet potatoes 12-inch thick
- Arrange layer in buttered casserole dish
- Mix all dry ingredients sprinkle over potatoes
- Dot with 1 tablespoon butter
- Add 12 of the cherries Repeat until all ingredients are used
- Pour potato liquid over layers until visible
- Bake at 350 for 30 to 40 minutes
