Yeast Biscuits

Ingredients

  • 1 c warm water
  • 1 pkg dry yeast
  • 2 Tbsp soft butter or shortening
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 12 tsp salt
  • 2 12 c flour

Directions

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water with 1 tablespoon sugar
  2. Add shortening salt 1 tablespoon sugar and flour
  3. Mix well
  4. Pour out on floured board and knead a few times then cut out and place in a pan
  5. Grease top and let rise in a warm place until double in size about 12 to 1 hour
  6. Bake at 400 until brown
  7. Makes about 1 12 dozen
