Yeast Rolls

Ingredients

  • 2 pkg yeast
  • 14 c warm water
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1 c milk scalded
  • 12 c sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 14 c melted shortening
  • 4 12 to 5 12 c flour

Directions

  1. Soak the yeast in warm water
  2. Scald milk and cool
  3. Beat the eggs until light
  4. Measure salt sugar and shortening stir into eggs
  5. Add scalded milk
  6. Milk should be body temperature when dropped on wrist
  7. Stir in yeast
  8. Add 12 flour then continue to add flour until dough is stiff
  9. Knead about 5 minutes
