Yeast Rolls
Ingredients
- 2 pkg yeast
- 14 c warm water
- 2 eggs beaten
- 1 c milk scalded
- 12 c sugar
- 2 tsp salt
- 14 c melted shortening
- 4 12 to 5 12 c flour
Directions
- Soak the yeast in warm water
- Scald milk and cool
- Beat the eggs until light
- Measure salt sugar and shortening stir into eggs
- Add scalded milk
- Milk should be body temperature when dropped on wrist
- Stir in yeast
- Add 12 flour then continue to add flour until dough is stiff
- Knead about 5 minutes
