Yeast Rolls
Ingredients
- 1 pt milk
- 12 c sugar
- 12 c shortening
- 14 c warm water
- yeast cake
- 1 tsp salt
- 12 level tsp soda
- heaping 12 tsp baking powder
- 3 c sifted flour
Directions
- Heat together milk sugar and shortening
- When cool add yeast cake that has been dissolved in 14 cup warm water
- Add enough flour to make a thin cake dough
- Let rise 1 hour
- Add soda baking powder and salt
- Sift flour and add to mixture Work well
- Put in refrigerator and use as needed
- When making rolls let rise 3 hours
