Your Basic Macaroni And Cheese

Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp butter
  • 14 c all-purpose flour
  • 4 c milk preheated
  • 1 tsp prepared mustard
  • 1 tsp salt or to taste
  • pinch of ground red pepper
  • 1 lb elbow macaroni
  • 12 lb shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
  • 12 total torn cheeses mixture American Muenster Swiss etc
  • grated ParmesanRomano cheese
  • Italian-seasoned bread crumbs

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a large saucepan stir in flour until smooth Cook over low heat stirring for about 2 minutes
  2. Gradually whisk in hot milk until smooth
  3. Cook stirring constantly until mixture boils
  4. Reduce heat to low and cook for about 10 minutes stirring frequently until thick and smooth
  5. Season with mustard salt and red pepper
